Curated experiences by your host: where to eat, shop and relax round your home

This fabulously wealthy, riverside neighbourhood has two iconic high streets offering London’s most opulent boutiques. Being a short distance away from the contemporary Saatchi gallery, Kensington will really have you engulfed in a world of finesse.

Do the V&A

A museum of art and design housed in a glorious edifice to Victoria's abiding love of Albert with some of the best - and eerily well timed exhibitions.

Have your heyday at Nam Long

The likes of Sean Connery and Prince William have been kicked out of Nam Long since the late 80's. Try a Flaming Ferrari (green and yellow chartreuse, Grand Marnier and rum) and try your luck too.

Go Geisha for a night at Ramusake

Open Wed to Sun evenings, Ramusake's Japanese sharing style menu goes well with endlessly inventive cocktails and geisha nights.

Try oysters at Wright Bros

This is place for fresh British oysters - some from their own Duchy oyster farm in Cornwall. Washed down with first class wines.

Walk on by...Fait Maison

We challenge you to walk past Fait Mason and resist the call of the cupcake or the smell of fresh brewed coffee from 8am most mornings.

Catch a concert At The Royal Albert Hall

Home of the proms, the Messiah and Cirque de Soleil, the Royal Albert Hall is a classic concert venue with free recitals every Friday lunchtime.

Breakfast at Fernandez & Wells

Open all day everyday, Fernandez & Wells serves great coffee, pastries and sarnie's, alongside wine, cheese plates and charcuterie.

Do Science at The Science Museum

Release your inner geek at the Science Museum, home of the Apollo 10 command module and seven floors of equally fascinating exhibits.

Stroll through the Pavilion

A London 'must see,' the Serpentine Pavilion opens June to October, as are the galleries on either side of Serpentine bridge in Kensington Gardens.

Fuel your coffee addiction at Kensington Square Kitchen

Open at 8.30 every morning this is the place for breakfast, brunch - and coffee where the coffee is Monmouth and the latte is a work of art. Oh and the food's good too.

Be part of London's design heritage at Bibendum Restaurant

This fabulous Art Deco building, named after the Michelin man is home to the Conran shop and Bibendum restaurant. Nunc est Bibendum, as they say.

Explore the Museum Quarter

Walk into the great hall of the Science Museum and be wowed, then take in the dinosaurs, the dioramas and the amazing displays at The Natural History Museum.

The Lows

  • A magnificent home that is perfectly located for a Kensington retreat. We can't think of any lows for this one.

Have you ever booked a holiday home with great reviews and found yourself disappointed? Us too.

That is why the Plum Guide doesn’t operate a traditional review system. Instead we test every one of our homes obsessively against 150 criteria. Only 1 in 100 homes we test, is accepted. This is one of them.

This home has been accepted because it:

  • Received 10 exceptional customer reviews
  • Passed all 150 criteria of our in-person hospitality test
  • Has 3 “super powers”: 3 unique things that make it a truly amazing stay
  • Received a unanimous "In" vote by the Plum Hospitality Judges
  • Received top marks from every Plum Guide guest, since being listed with us

"It was great to see Sirin again, she has such a unique perspective on interior design that I could easily tell this was a house prepared by her. The location is absolutely gorgeous and prestigious, it looks beautiful from the outside, not far from Harrods and the Museums. It’s at ground level and easy to access, I really enjoyed the classic chic décor with soothing neutral tones. As always the beds are perfectly made with smooth linen and a touch of five-star hospitality. There is plenty of space to store all your luggage and shopping bags, and the families will love the Museums. Underfloor heating adds charm and warmth to the house and a large bright walk-in shower will welcome you in the morning. This house is a promise of a delightful stay."

Why we love Sirin
Sirin has been working as an interior designer for the hospitality industry for years, hence, she knows exactly how to pamper guests and how make them feel safe and comfortable. Lucky for us that this gifted designer decided to share her perfectly curated apartment. In her free time Sirin can’t get enough of antiques shops and London parks!
