Curated experiences by your host: where to eat, shop and relax round your home

Some say the hipsters have moved further east away from Shoreditch due to the area becoming too affluent, but there’s still evidence they’re still around. Graffiti, boutique shops and ramshackle bars are still opening.

Lunch at On The Bab

Be warned this place is pretty busy, but for a great reason. Come here to indulge in Korean sharing platters and Korean Cocktails. Definitely try the deep-fried kimchi arancini balls.

Breakfast at Hoi Polloi

It’s located within the Ace Hotel, but don’t let that put you off. Try and come here on weekends when the string quartet are playing and enjoy a gorgeously smoked trout omelette.

Coffee From Origins

These guys know their stuff. Take a seat and enjoy the pros work their magic and educate you about the science of milk and perfectly roasted beans.

Breakfast From Bel Air

This place is all about feel good food and getting your London mornings off to a Californian start. For the protein lovers they even do steak and poached eggs!

A trip down Memory Lane at The Museum Of Childhood

Part of the V&A Museum, it contains rare, hand-crafted objects, well-loved toys from the 20th century that allow an insight into how different children might have lived, thought and felt.

Lunch at Oklava

A modern take on Turkish-Cypriot cuisine, the head chef Selin Kiazim will delight you with beautiful dishes such as Lemon Sole with parsley and pomegranate dressing.

Pack a Picnic and head to Victoria Park

Pick up some picnic treats from Broadway market and have a picnic in Victoria Park. London’s oldest public park retaining many green flag and green heritage awards.

People Watch At Broadway Market

This Saturday market is Hackney’s finest. Broadway Market is as much about seeking out quality food as it is about just letting your hair down and soaking up the Hackney vibe.

Men's Shopping at O'Dell's

Our favourite curated men’s accessories store in London. Tom will welcome you with a great smile and tell you about the sourced and curated accessories and pieces he has on display.

Cocktails at Joyeux Bordel

The name literally means ‘happy brothel’, but used in France to mean a happy mess. An intimate, subterranean cocktail bar located behind a slightly inconspicuous black door.

Coffee at Fix 126

People watch here on the this uber cool coffee shop on Curtain Road. Serving up artisan coffee in an exposed brick surrounding with school chairs. This place is a hip caffeine fix.

Browse The Boutiques Along Redchurch Street

Amble down this graffiti lined street laden with gorgeous boutique shops and high end fashion, design and stationery shops. Admire all the locals looking rather Shoreditch.

The Lows

  • This apartment is on the 2nd floor with no lift access.
  • The second bedroom has a bunk bed. It used to be the kids bedroom. One of the beds is a standard single and the second bed is just short of a 6ft mattress length.
  • The bathroom is ensuite to the master bedroom. So if you are in the second bedroom and need the bathroom at night, you’d have to bypass the master bedroom.

This home has been accepted because it:

"The hammock! The architectural beauty, the original Noguchi coffee table and Marcel Breuer chair throughout are all just so stunning and make this wonderful loft conversion so unique. It's in the Shoreditch triangle, so the second you step out of your door you are thrown into the coolest part of London. For what it is, this apartment is fantastic value if you're looking for a special place to stay in Shoreditch."

Why we love Kelly
This oasis in Shoreditch used to be the home of your host Kelly, a photographic artist living in London. It was a project that Kelly and her husband Michael, an architect and master of biomimicry completed 10 years ago. Combining their skills, talents and perfection they really have put together an apartment to behold. Its cool, calming and unique interior coupled with Kelly’s warmth and hospitality will sure to make your stay memorable.
