The apartment itself is housed in an old, Roman palazzo, lending it an aristocratic air. It has been lavished with care and attention care by its host, Elvira. There are a couple of touches in particular that keep it extra cosy, like the working fireplace and the rustic ceiling, so snuggle up with a glass of Italian red wine. This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. We clicked with Elvira as soon as we met her. She’s travelled all her life and lived abroad a lot, before finally deciding to settle down and turn her hobby of hosting people into a profession. She’s very active, and can give you plenty of tips on the best places for outdoor sports, or if you’re more into your museums, she can arrange for an art historian to take you around the galleries.
