Calling all culture vultures: we’ve found your perfect perch. Umberto's is only a pleasant ten-minute amble away from South Kensington’s renowned galleries – the V&A, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. Spend your days there, admiring dinosaurs and double helixes, before resting up in this arty attic. It’s got everything you might need: a fully-stocked kitchen, books to read, a big TV to watch, a bigger bathtub for sore feet and soft bedding to happily collapse into.

Home truths
The flat is up four flights of stairs with no lift so maybe don't bring your biggest, heaviest luggage with you if you decide to stay here
One of our guests thought the bed was too hard but whether or not this bothers you will depend on your mattress preferences - up to you!
If you're a group of three, one of you will be on a sofa-bed in the living space
The kitchen isn't huge and feels slightly on top of the living area
We didn't have any problems on our visit, but one guest has mentioned that the key safe (where you will usually collect your keys from) isn't the easiest thing to open
