Inside, the sleek and contemporary touches really caught our eye, as well as the sociable chef's kitchen which is ideal for preparing lunches to be enjoyed out on the private terrace – equipped with comfy chairs and an outdoor dining area, it's a lovely spot for enjoying the warm Sicilian sunshine. Access to the apartment building is via a shared entrance.
The apartment is spread over multiple floors with no lift. You'll have to climb steep internal stairs.
The terrace is overlooked by neighbouring buildings so it lacks privacy, though we still think it's a lovely space.
Some of the artwork might not be to everyone's taste.
If you're staying more than a couple of days, you'll need to buy additional basic provisions.
We recommend skipping the car here and exploring Sicily on foot or by public transport instead.
