You can have the best of both worlds with this retreat, you're surrounded by nature, yet this home is only a fifteen-minute drive from the heart of Woodstock. We'd recommend having a car to get the most out of the location, though. Other attractions nearby include Hunter Mountain and Belleayre Mountain, both thirty minutes in the car. That's if you can persuade everyone to leave the wraparound deck with its barbecue, lounge area, dining space and views over the landscaped grounds with a fire pit, pond and swimming pool (it's fenced in). Inside, there are vistas of the distant hills from some rooms, and we love the recreation room with its ping-pong table and a huge chalkboard.

While the cloakroom isn't photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
Bedroom three is ideal for the kids as it has two single beds and a third bed perched on a mezzanine.
The pool is heated during the warmer months (please check with your host which months the pool is available).
The lower level of the house, where the recreation room sits, has sliding doors to the garden and a bathroom, ideal for showering after a swim.
There's a dedicated office space here, if you need to catch up on work during your stay.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
