To be honest, we were totally captivated by the panoramic vistas of the Hudson Valley at this home. They are best enjoyed from the heated pool or, for another spectacle, sit by the fire pit and witness the starry sky. An enclosed porch allows you to savour the views on days when the weather is less kind. Alternatively, revel in the cosiness of the traditional interiors or watch a movie in the private cinema room. Due to this home's location, you'll need a car, but there's plenty of rewards for bringing your own transport. A short drive will take you to Lake Taghkanic State Park, or in winter – there's the nearby ski resort of Catamount.
