This elegant country house lies just outside Rome, with bus links into the city. Separated into two apartments, we think it's a great choice for families. The inside of the home is quite dated and won't be to everyone's taste, and at full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in one of the living areas. That said, kids will love the large garden and playground and your host can provide a cot and high chair for an additional fee. Outdoors you'll find a kitchen and bathroom in a separate building, along with the barbecue grill and alfresco dining area under the pergola for some extra protection from the sun.

This home is made up of two separate apartments – there are two double bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor, and two bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor.
The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
One of the kitchens and bathrooms is accessed via an external entrance.
Groups of young people aged 21 or younger aren't permitted here.
