This delightful home is a renovated historic watchtower. It stands proudly looking out at the Umbrian countryside, which is dotted with historic castles and hamlets – there’s plenty to explore here, so we highly recommend bringing a car. The rustic decor won’t be to everyone’s taste, but you’re unlikely to spend much time indoors – you’ll have 2 acres of outside space to enjoy. Children will love the pool and the play equipment, which includes a swing, football goal, and basketball hoop. Grown-ups might be more focused on alfresco dining on the terrace, where the views are marvellous.

Home truths

We recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay here. There’s free parking for up to four cars.

There are stairs to climb at this home, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.

The rustic decor here is in keeping with the style of the home, but it won’t be to everyone’s taste.

The swimming pool is open from May to the end of September.

Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones.

Two of the double bedrooms feature mezzanine levels with single beds. These are accessible via steep ladders, so won’t be suitable for everyone.
