It's fitting that this villa, just outside the town of Grasse, the centre of the French perfume industry, has scented lavender and fragrant lemon trees in its garden. There's a pool and sunny terrace here, too, as well as a trampoline for the kids. Inside, there's plenty of space to entertain, but if you're a group of six, there's only one full bathroom (there's a cloakroom, though, if someone is hogging the shower). When you feel like exploring, head to nearby Grasse (4 kilometres) or Valbonne, 11 kilometres away. Cannes is 15 kilometres from this charming home if you fancy a bit of glamour.
