Grab a taste of authentic Tuscan living at this 19th-century farmhouse just south of Siena and one kilometre from the hilltop town of San Quirico d'Orcia. While the traditional interiors are in keeping with the age of the home, they will feel dated for some, and the nonna-style kitchen is short on food-prepping space. But the stunning panoramas of the rolling Tuscan hills outside more than make up for that. Great for family sharing, two of the bedrooms are adjoined – perfect for keeping an eye on younger children. It's worth noting there's no swimming pool here, though the shady terraces in the established gardens help to beat the Tuscan heat.
