The private terrace with a glimpse of the sea is prime for morning coffees and sundowners, and while the kitchen may feel a tad dated, there's everything you need to rustle up Portuguese-inspired meals. Fancy a night off cooking? Seek out the cobbled streets and traditional restaurants of the resort's 'old village' – it's just a stroll away. Or, for something a little buzzier, the bright lights of Albufeira are just a short drive along the coast.
