Just a short drive from Lake Como, this functional loft apartment might not be our most luxurious, but it has everything you'd need in a base. Location is everything here, with Como and Varese close by, along with the Monte San Giorgio – ideal for hikers. The available parking will come in handy, as Milan is just a short drive away too. Back at home, there only being an ensuite bathroom might be inconvenient, and at capacity, two guests will be using the sofa bed. We think the spot is best suited to families, and the host can provide a cot if needed.

Home truths
At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.
You won't find an oven – though there is a hob. We think the kitchenette, which is in the living area, is better suited to prepping lighter bites.
There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home, which is on the first floor.
The bathroom is an ensuite, meaning guests will need to enter the bedroom to access it.
If you're travelling with kids your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car. There's free private parking.
