Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
If you want to be in the heart of Madrid, this apartment is ideal. It’s situated next to Plaza de Tirso de Molina, while Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol are both a five-minute stroll away. We love the Juliet balcony and the vibrant kitchen. If you’re a group of six, two people will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area, which will be a tight fit. It's also good to note that both bedrooms have sloped ceilings and are located on mezzanines. They're not the most private and taller guests will need to watch they don't bump their heads. But, if you don't mind these quirks, this could be a fuss-free base for your Madrid adventures.

Home truths
Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area, but it'll be a squeeze. We think this home is best for four people.
Both bedrooms are located on mezzanine levels with low ceilings – the maximum height is 150cm. There's little privacy, as one is above the kitchen and the other is above the living area.
There's no lift here. You'll need to climb stairs to reach the first-floor entrance.
Your host can provide a free cot, subject to availability.
Given the central spot, street noise is to be expected.
Groups of people aged 18 years or younger aren't allowed.
You’ll need to have a mobile device with internet access to enter this apartment.
On arrival and departure days, your host can store luggage for free at their office.

About Lavapiés
Like many neighbourhoods on the rise, Lavapiés proudly displays its rough edges. The Times Magazine has recently included it in the 50 best neighbourhoods to live in the world, and it’s not hard to understand its appeal. It’s a melting pot of cultures, bravely experimenting with international influences. Lavapiés is full of contrast — some streets have already embraced a more luxurious vibe with chic boutiques and fusion restaurants popping up every month, while others are still filled with artistic squats and street vendors. It’s the ultimate antidote to boredom.
