This is an architect-designed villa in the heart of Portugal's Vinho Verde wine region – what's not to love? Its sloped façades sit within a cork oak grove, keeping the surrounding landscape largely undisturbed. Inside, the kitchen, dining, and living spaces flow into one another, with floor-to-ceiling glass framing the views. Three suites occupy a separate wing, each with its own outlook. Gerês National Park is just over an hour's drive away, Porto and the Douro Valley are each around an hour, and vineyards are within easy reach. With breakfast and daily housekeeping included, it’s easy to see why it caught our eye.
