This bright Parede apartment has its own private balcony up on the fourth floor and is just minutes from the beach. The decor is very simple but the sofa bed adds practicality and we think it's a good choice for weekend trips. For longer stays you'll need to replace your toiletries, but there are shops nearby, and public transport is easily accessible. If you drive though, you'll find a free parking spot in the building's garage. The location here is what sets this home apart, with several sandy beaches and attractions like the Tower of Belém an easy drive or bus ride away.

Home truths

You'll have a free reserved parking space in the building's garage during your stay.

At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room.

This home is in an apartment building with no lift, and there are four flights of steps up to the entrance.

It's possible you might hear some noise from neighbours and from the streets outside during your stay.

There's no air conditioning here, so it might get quite warm.

The balcony overlooks the street and buildings, so the views might not be the most inspiring.

Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am.

This home was purpose-built for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space.

The caves, tunnels and steps that make up Sintra’s intricate central palace system are just 25km from the country’s capital, Lisbon. Its historic sights are some of the most renowned in Portugal, with the majestic golden...
