Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Gosh, there are an array of attractions within walking distance of this apartment. It's a four-minute walk to Rossio Square, while the Santa Justa Lift is a six-minute stroll. A bit further on, Lisbon Cathedral and the Arch of Rua Augusta are under fifteen minutes on foot, and São Jorge Castle and Pink Street are both under a twenty-minute saunter. What about the apartment? Well, first of all, you have to reach it. It's on the second floor with no lift (there are five flights of stairs to the apartment's entrance). Inside, the open-plan living space is compact, especially if you're a group of four (two people will be sleeping on the sofa bed here).

Local guide
About Mouraria
With street performers, Fado shows and lots of unmissable sights, Mouraria should be at the top of your list. A trip through its narrow streets is like stepping back in time, revisiting the rich cultural background even before the great earthquake of 1755. In fact, the story goes that Fado was born in Mouraria, and it’s since made its way to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Although it’s quite central, this neighbourhood has a strong local community and an independent art scene that will show you a side of old, nostalgic Lisbon that you won’t find anywhere else.
