Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This simple Madrid home in the San Diego neighbourhood isn't the city's most exciting, but it does tick several key boxes for us. Nearby you'll find several parks, making it suitable if you're travelling with young ones. And while the nearest metro stations are a bit of a walk, there are several buses stopping close by that you can use to reach the city centre. Although this home can host four guests, it's a squeeze having the sofa bed out in the living area, and there isn't much natural light here. We think it's most suited to those who want to drop their bags and explore.

Home truths

At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.

This home is on the second floor with no lift. Guests will need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance.

There is no wardrobe in the bedroom, although there is a clothes railing.

This home doesn't get much natural light.

If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace.

The kitchenette has an oven and a hob, but there isn't much prep space. We think it is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.

About Atocha

When thinking of Atocha, the mammoth train station immediately comes to mind. While it’s a transport hub connecting Madrid to all others parts of Spain, its appeal lies in more than just logistics. The station itself is full of restaurants (some are the best in the area), and the sprawling streets around it will slowly lead to some of the best museums in town. Staying here will place you within walking distance of Prado, The Reina Sofia Museum, and Retiro Park.
