Surrounded by vegetation and with mountains as a backdrop, this two-storey villa strikes us as an idyllic family retreat. While the slightly inland location means beach visits are likely to be infrequent, the fantastic outdoor areas here more than compensate - the large shaded terrace, pool, and garden complete with hammock provide plenty of space to come together or break off into small groups. That's just as well, as we found the interior to be a little dated in places. If you want to explore, you'll find the town of Alhaurín el Grande close by.
