Home truths

    Parking in Venice is tricky, so we recommend using public transport. The apartment is well placed for walking and has easy vaporetto (water bus) connections.

    Given the home's central spot, expect to hear the chimes of the church bells and the songs of the gondoliers.

    At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. The home is best suited for four, but can host up to six for shorter stays.

    The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.

    The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
