A private suntrap terrace seals the deal at this pocket-sized apartment set in the azulejos-clad streets of the oh-so-central Bolhão district. While the views aren't overly inspiring, it's a bonus to have some outdoor space – especially as the inside of this home is compact and quirky in places. Expect a sofa bed in the lounge for the last guest and a bedroom with only an internal window. It may also take some getting used to having the exclusive-use lift open directly into the home's hallway. But for such an unbeatable location, we'll happily let that slide.

Home truths
This home sleeps three guests, with the last guest sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room. We think this bed is better suited for short stays or a teen. It’s also worth noting the third guest will access the en-suite bathroom via the main bedroom.
The bedroom has an internal window only, so daylight is limited. Great for a sound night’s sleep, but it won’t suit everyone.
You’ll collect the apartment key from the host’s management office nearby.
The apartment has a lift with exclusive access to the apartment.
The kitchen is compact and is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
This home is in a central spot, so expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.
