In the elegant coastal resort of Mondello, this family-sized villa puts the sandy beach 600-metre walk away, and the buzzing Sicilian capital – Palermo – is a short drive. The highlight of the home is the sprawling garden, home to an inviting swimming pool and a shaded dining area to make the most of the Sicilian sun. Inside, there’s a traditional feel to the rooms with a working fireplace in the living room for the rare chilly night. The kitchen feels a little outdated, but it has everything you need to rustle up an Italian feast. You may want to spend all your time at the barbecue station anyway.
