That private rooftop terrace with sweeping sea views won us over at this penthouse set in an upmarket residential district of Marbella. While the interiors may feel a tad dated, it’s all beautifully cared for, and each bedroom is as light-filled as the next, thanks to the balcony access from every room. Part of a gated resort complex, some impressive shared facilities are on-site, including a gym, indoor pool and outdoor infinity pool. But if you’re more of a sea-worshipper, Marbella’s golden sandy shores and chi-chi seafront restaurants are just a short drive away.
