Like something out of a fairytale, this Cotswold stone cottage is characterful inside and out. Sure, it's slightly dated, but it's Grade II-listed – and, in our opinion, that's part of the appeal. Traditional features abound indoors, from the wooden beams and window seats to Inglenook fireplaces. Outside, the tiered garden is just as charming, making it the perfect spot for afternoon tea. A period home like this has some peculiarities, though – among them are steep stairs with rope railings, narrow doorways, and low ceilings. That said, you'll be in a fantastic position to explore the area. The Oxfordshire Way is on your doorstep, while chocolate-box villages like Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold are easily reached by car.

    This home sleeps six adults and two infants. Your host can provide one free cot and high chair on request – just bring your own linen.

    This is a period home. Expect uneven floors, steep and narrow staircases with rope bannisters, and low beams and doorways. The second bedroom in the eaves has sloped ceilings that may not suit taller guests.

    Off-street parking is available for four cars. There's also a garage used solely for bike storage and a Type 2 EV charging point here.

    Mobile phone signal varies depending on the provider.

    Although the rear garden is enclosed, the front and side gardens are not.
