Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

While this cosy attic apartment is a little off the well-trodden path, it benefits from a quiet, residential location. Yet, it’s just a fifteen-minute walk from the biggest sights of Rome – the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. The building dates back to the 1920s, and there’s no lift. But the climb up to the third floor feels worth it for the sunny rooftop terrace where you can dine alfresco. It’s a little spartan inside, but the bed is big and comfy and you’ll want to spend your time exploring the atmospheric streets of your ancient locale anyway.

Home truths

There is room for two additional guests on the sofa bed in the living room, but it would be a bit of a squeeze.

This apartment is on the third floor of a building without a lift. You'll need to be comfortable climbing quite a lot of stairs to reach the entrance.

The terrace is shared with another apartment with screens separating the space.

The apartment is in a quiet area of Rome, but you may hear some occasional noise from the nearby football pitch.

Your host can provide a cot for infants on request.

There is no private parking with this apartment, but you're in the centre of Rome so having a car is not necessary. There is free on-street parking nearby, but availability can be difficult in Rome.

About Tuscolano

Beyond the railway station, Tuscolano doesn’t have architecture to match some of the other parts of the city, but its streets are filled with green, and it has several nice restaurants and a couple of lovely parks. It’s generally a very safe area, with great transport links as the metro runs into the city along Via Appia Nuova - you can get all the way to the Vatican without changing lines.
