Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

In the heart of Rome, this historic apartment sits between the bustling Piazza Navona and the endless museums of the Vatican City. Rome’s major attractions – the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Colosseum – are all within walking distance, and the streets are packed with restaurants, gelaterias and pavement cafes. You don’t need to leave the apartment to appreciate the city’s history though, with ancient relics in the courtyard and carved wood ceilings. Designed to remain cool before the days of air-conditioning, there’s not a lot of natural light inside. While the living room is plenty big and the kitchen has everything you need for meals at home, the second double bed is small and fairly open so would best suit kids.

Home truths

This apartment is on the first floor of a building without a lift. You'll need to be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs to reach the entrance.

One of the bedrooms has a small double bed and is in a fairly open space off the living room. It would best suit children.

The hallway bathroom just has a shower, but there's an additional WC just outside the apartment with its own key.

Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.

It's worth noting that the mattresses here are on the firmer side, so not everyone might find them comfortable.

There is no parking with this apartment, but you're in the heart of Rome and having a car is not necessary.

The square is watched over by the brooding figure of Giordano Bruno, who was executed for heresy on this spot in 1600. Today he oversees a bustling market selling fruit, vegetables, cheese, Puglian pottery, pasta of varying quality and, of course, flowers, mostly to tourists, although...
