Out in the beautiful Wye Valley, a short drive from Ross-on-Wye, this luxurious escape offers something a little different. First, there’s the tranquil rooftop garden, bursting with greenery around a little lake where a private roundhouse houses a bar and seating area and a private sauna looking out at the waterfall. Enhance the spa experience with a dip in the outdoor bathtub. Country life can be truly embraced at the wood-fired barbecue, or by getting a fire going in the stove inside. While the living area and bedroom are in a shared studio-style space, the full kitchen is separate. We love the luxury touches like the grand piano and four-poster bed.

Home truths

While it is pure luxury inside, the layout is studio-style, so the sleeping area is shared with the living and dining area.

This is a quirky property with a garden on the rooftop and a separate summer house and sauna. There's an unfenced pond in the garden, so children should be supervised at all times outside.

Your host provides a starter set of logs for the stove.

In a remote location, having a car is recommended. There is private parking for one car onsite.

About The Forest of Dean

Named England’s first National Forest Park in 1938, the Forest of Dean is the country’s oldest oak woodland, stretching across Gloucestershire and along the River Wye. Originally a medieval hunting ground for Henry VIII, the forest boasts a rich and varied history, sourcing timber for Tudor warships and housing iron and coal mines in Victorian times. Today, the forest is back to its natural state, a lush and peaceful adventure...
