Modern and stylish, this Recoletos apartment is every inch the perfect Madrid home-from-home. With sleek designs and a contemporary open-plan living area, it's the perfect pad for a city break. The dining space is a lovely spot for dinners at home, though we know Madrid’s roster of restaurants might beckon you out. If work is on the agenda, you’ll find handy desks in each bedroom, and there are two bathrooms (one en-suite) to make getting out in the morning a breeze. Just as well, with the El Retiro Park, Círculo de Bellas Artes and Museo Nacional del Prado within walking distance.

Local guide
About Salamanca
Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
