If you’re seeking somewhere truly special to stay in Sicily, we think this restored lighthouse just might fit the bill. It’s in Brucoli, a seaside village with some excellent restaurants, close to Syracuse and Val di Noto. You’ll have direct access to the sea and can also walk to a nearby small, sandy beach. There’s a Jacuzzi outside, from which you can admire views towards Mount Etna. The lighthouse is next to a 15th-century Aragonese castle, making the backdrop particularly striking. The wraparound terrace has a shady dining area too, including a barbecue. Inside, the decor is chic and stylish, and you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable break.
