Home truths
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot, high chair, and baby bath. Request these in advance to make sure everything is ready on arrival.
You're right in Porto's old town, surrounded by cobblestone streets and significant foot traffic – especially along the routes to Ribeira. It's lively and atmospheric, but expect some street noise, particularly in the evenings.
Porto's historic centre is hilly and largely pedestrian-friendly, so we recommend exploring on foot. If you're driving, parking in the old town can be challenging – consider leaving your car at one of the city's outer car parks and using public transport.
