Ski-in, ski-out access is hard to come by, and this apartment at Baqueira's 1,500-metre mark delivers it with ease – two dedicated elevators connect the heated ski storage to the gondola lift exit, so the mountain is always within arm's reach. Back inside, pine-beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace in the living room make winding down after a day on the slopes feel like second nature. Valley views stretch beyond the balcony, and the kitchen has everything you need for long evenings in. This is a polished alpine retreat that takes the faff out of a ski trip.

If you're travelling with a baby or toddler, your host can provide a cot and high chair. It's worth requesting these in advance to make sure it's ready for your arrival.
The apartment is on the second floor and is accessed by lift, so getting in and out with skis, luggage, or buggies is straightforward. Bear in mind that reaching the gondola involves taking two separate lifts – one down to the garage, then a second out to the slope.
We think this apartment is compact for five guests, so it feels more suited to two adults travelling with children than to a larger group of grown-ups. The second bedroom is also on the smaller side, especially with the trundle bed in use.
Baqueira's town centre is around a five-minute walk away, making it easy to reach shops and restaurants on foot without needing a car for day-to-day errands. That said, a parking space is included.
You'll have access to the communal ski storage room – it's heated and shared with other guests.
