With this apartment, you can live the Tuscan dream in this restored 14th-century farmhouse set amid olive groves in the hills above Lucca. Okay, the pool is communal, so you’ll be sharing this idyll with other guests. But the views looking up to the medieval village of San Gennaro are beautiful and more than make up for this. The apartment itself is on the upper floor, so benefits from views over the Tuscan countryside. The bathrooms are a little dated perhaps, but the rest of the home has a cosy, traditional feel. When you fancy exploring, nearby Lucca has a whole host of treasures to discover or take a twenty-minute hike up the hill to San Gennaro.
