Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This 1901 Edwardian townhome is bursting with charm. Inside, you'll discover shelves piled with books, two cosy living areas, and heaps of traditional character. It has everything you need for a stress-free stay, including an office if remote working is on the cards. That said, our favourite spot is the garden. With a frog pond and direct access to the local playing fields, we can't think of a better spot to enjoy alfresco meals and evening sundowners. Location-wise, you're a five-minute walk from Dulwich Village and Herne Hill, both offering independent shops, cafes, and historic pubs. Trains from the local stations run into Victoria and London Bridge, so central London is also within easy reach.

Home truths

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot, toddler bed, and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.

The garden is private but overlooks the public playing fields. There’s also a frog pond, so children must be watched carefully.

This is a lived-in home. Expect some of the host's personal belongings to be present during your stay.

You'll have to climb stairs here, as none of the bedrooms are on the ground floor.

There's an office here if you plan to work from home, as well as desks in a few of the bedrooms.

A security camera on the front porch faces the driveway and is always on.

About Dulwich

It's hard to believe that rural-feeling Dulwich is such a quick train ride to Central London. It is one of the few inner London areas that has managed to maintain its authentic village charm and this was recognised when the area was given conservation area status in 1968. This exclusive and upmarket area has a charming, old world atmosphere with mature chestnut trees, leafy streets, white picket fences and a great range of independent shops, boutiques and cafes, as well as a Grade II listed pub.
