Just around the corner from Harrods, this apartment is nestled in a peaceful pocket of Knightsbridge that was once Jane Austen's stomping grounds. Red-brick buildings surround you here, and views from the living area overlook a leafy resident-only garden designed by Henry Holland in the 1700s. The decor inside is a tad uninspired, but it'll do the job for a fuss-free visit. Alongside easy access to the city's most famous department store, Sloane Square's trendy eateries and Chelsea's high-end boutiques are also within easy reach.

Opulence is the name of the game in Knightsbridge. Ideally located for exploring many of central London's key sights, Knightsbridge is also a mecca for high-end shopoholics. Thrifty types should look elsewhere!
