Looking for a central base with bundles of character? This apartment fits the bill. Smack-dab in Piazza Santa Croce, you'll find it in a historic palazzo with ties to the Medici bankers. Exploring on foot is a breeze here – Florence's must-see landmarks, shops, and eateries are all just a short walk away. The cosy sitting room offers views of the piazza, while the traditional kitchen is well-appointed for rustling up Italian classics. Our personal favourite is the pink bedroom, with its gold details and sumptuous bed. The cherry on top is the small communal gym, which we're sure fitness buffs will appreciate.

The largest crowds have thinned out by this point, but if you stay here, you're still close enough to explore the whole city on foot....
