Snug but superbly located, this ground-floor apartment is ideal for practical travellers. There's no denying that it's compact, but we think it works – even if both bedrooms lack storage. That said, the layout uses space cleverly, with colourful walls and a long galley-style kitchen. The second bedroom also doubles as an office. Besides, you can't beat the location. Angel is a thriving neighborhood full of restaurants, pubs, and shops. It has everything you'll need, including a Tube station nearby that makes exploring London a breeze.

Home truths

This apartment is very compact. Both bedrooms are short on storage space and have beds pushed against the wall. With that in mind, we think this home is a better fit for two people.

It's on the ground floor of a residential building with a communal main entrance.

This apartment is one of six in the building. The other five flats are currently undergoing renovation, so there may be some noise disturbance during the week. The communal hallways may also look a tad unfinished.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host may be able to provide a cot and high chair on request.

You won't need a car in this location. Angel Tube station is a five-minute walk away, making it easy to travel around London.

About Angel

Angel is a highly sought-after part of London, and for good reason. It's packed with trendy bars and restaurants lining Upper Street — the main road running from Angel through to Highbury and Islington — and an array of independent shops lining its side streets. A commuter's dream, Angel not only borders the north of London, but is also within walking distance of East London's Shoreditch, and borders King’s Cross...
