Step into the living room of this upside-down house, and you’ll see immediately why it caught our eye. With views over Grasmere Lake, wildlife wandering by outdoors, and nature-fueled hikes from the doorstep, it’s impossible not to relax here. With exclusive lake access, grab your paddleboards or kayaks and take to the lake. Prefer to hike? Trails are abundant locally, including the Grasmere and Rydal Water circuit. Local guide
About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
