If olde worlde charm is your bag, this 17th-century Grade II-listed Canterbury home will delight. Once the local brewery mews, an Inglenook fireplace and countless beams remain. But there are plenty of modern-day flourishes, too. Think open-plan kitchen leading onto a small but charming courtyard and boutique-style bedrooms and bathrooms, complete with a copper roll-top bath. A home of this heritage comes with its quirks, and you'll need to mind your head on the low ceilings and beams in places. There is AC in every bedroom as well as double-glazing in the front rooms.
One well-behaved dog under 28kg is welcome to accompany you during your stay, or two smaller dogs on request.
Private parking for one medium-sized vehicle and an EV charging point are provided. If needed, an additional street parking space can be included for stays of three nights or more.
Given the home's central spot, you may occasionally hear noise from passersby – however, the bedrooms have recently been secondary glazed.
The ceiling and beams in some areas are on the low side, so you may have to duck. While this only adds to the charm, it might not suit taller guests.
