Long ago, this medieval castle, built in the mid-1500s, was the haunt of government officials. Today, it retains its impressive heritage features while delivering all the mod cons you could ask for: a sauna, a jacuzzi bath, a snooker table, and more. And while the style may not be to everyone's taste, if you've been keen on a unique place to hang your hat while exploring this stunning part of Italy, it could be a great fit.
