Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Surrounded by picturesque rolling hills, this home offers a peaceful escape from everyday life. William Morris patterns and amenities like the AGA and woodburner make the interiors feel very English cottage, but this home doesn't skimp on modern indulgences. You've got everything you need for a spa day at home, including an outdoor hot tub (overlooking the valley) and a sauna. The multi-level garden has lots of hidden benches perfect for drinks in the sun, while puzzles and games ensure that even rainy days (this is England, after all) are memorable. It's just a twenty-minute drive to Bowness-on-Windermere, the starting point for stunning lake cruises and hikes.

Local guide
About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
