Step into the wizarding world at this home tucked down the narrow lane that inspired Diagon Alley. Harry Potter fans will adore the magical memorabilia scattered about – it's understated but adds to the charm. It's not the biggest home, but having four floors gives the impression of extra space. There's also a sofa bed for guests five and six, but we reckon it's a better fit for four. The street is a popular stop for tour groups, so you'll get passersby on your doorstep. But, with Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Soho all within strolling distance, we think that’s a worthwhile trade.

It's home to the Royal Opera House, an imposing square packed full of weird and wonderful street performers and the charming Five Dials district, with its independent boutiques and restaurants. It's the perfect place to stay if you're planning on seeing some West End shows, all of which are within easy walking distance.
