Nestled halfway between Sicily's south coast and the mountain town of Modica, this villa offers everything you need for a sun-soaked stay. The spacious garden features a large pool and patio, but if you want to cool off, there's a covered terrace – or under one of the many trees on the lawn. The hammock is surely the best spot for an afternoon nap, waking up just in time for a barbecue as the sun goes down. With a garden this big, you won't see much of the interiors, but high ceilings and natural stone walls offer a bit of character. You're in an ideal location for exploring Sicily's natural beauty – the beach at Marina di Modica is ten minutes' drive away, and bikes are provided for more local adventures.

Home truths

Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay – there's parking available on the premises.

The swimming pool is generally open from 1st April to 31st October, but this is weather dependent. It isn't fenced, so if you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.

While this home can sleep nine guests at full occupancy, you will share three bathrooms.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free on request.

This home is on two levels and there are steps throughout the garden, so it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

There are eight UNESCO-listed towns in Val di Noto, including Modica, Scicli and Catania, the second-largest city on Sicily. Although each town has its...
