Step across the stone bridge over the river into this lovingly restored water mill. Where the old pond once lay, there’s now a swimming pool – a great place to relax while listening to the sound of the river. Set over several levels, the accommodation is split between the main house and a separate annexe for two guests. The kitchen is on the first floor, but if you want a break from cooking, your hosts can offer a full board option here (breakfast is provided). There are plenty of original features, such as millstones and beams, and we love the main bedroom suite, too, with its views. Situated between Arezzo and Florence, you’ll find many picturesque villages and towns to explore.
