Step into history at this 17th-century Sicilian “baglio” which boasts heaps of character. This home has been wonderfully designed with contemporary touches, though you can still expect lots of traditional features. You'll have ample room to spread out, especially those lucky enough to bag the Moroccan-inspired suite. There are plenty of highlights here, too, with a pool surrounded by olive groves, an outdoor dining area, a library and a tennis court – just keep in mind this is shared with the co-owners of the property. The location puts you just a short drive away from Mazara, a local seaside town full of Baroque churches and eateries, while Tonnarella beach is around five miles away.

Although this home can sleep eight guests with two on the sofa bed in the library, we think it's a better fit for six.
This home is the ground-floor section of a 17th-century villa.
Your host provides racquets and tennis balls for the tennis court. It is shared with the co-owners, who live on the villa's top floor (separated from the ground floor).
This is a historic villa, so it may feel a tad dated in parts. That said, we think the traditional details and decor only add to the charm.
