Directly on the banks of the River Dart, this modern home is an impeccably converted, open-plan boathouse and the perfect South Devon hideaway. Set within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, time stands still here — whether you’re taking the canoe out along the river, starting the morning on the balcony with coffee, or winding down beside the glow of the log burner in the evening. Just keep in mind that it’s best suited to couples or small families, as the sleeping arrangements are divided between a mezzanine level and a sofa bed in the living area.

Home truths
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
There's an electric vehicle charging point here – it's available for you to use for an additional fee of £40.
There’s free parking for one car at the main house.
The pool and lower garden can only be used with prior permission from the owners.
The second bedroom is located on a mezzanine level and is semi-open to the space below, so privacy may be limited, particularly at full occupancy when two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
A Canadian canoe is available to borrow, though use is at your own risk. Water access is limited to around two hours either side of high tide, and while a running mooring is provided for guests bringing their own boat, launching from the property is not permitted.
