This 19th-century villa marries Caprese charm with contemporary comforts – and it's all backdropped by stunning coastal scenery. With breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, we reckon most of your time will be spent outdoors. Take your pick between the sun-kissed roof terrace or panoramic patio. A private pool is perfect for lazy afternoons, while the outdoor table has alfresco dinners written all over it. Indoors, the handcrafted tile floors add a traditional touch to each room. Each bedroom boasts its own bathroom, one has a sofa bed for two guests, and others have external entrances for extra privacy.

Home truths
At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. This is in a sitting room attached to the main bedroom, but it still feels relatively private.
Some bedrooms have exterior entrances, making them ideal for guests wanting extra privacy.
The sixth bathroom is external and has a changing room for extra convenience.
Capri is a largely pedestrianised island, so a car isn't necessary. We suggest packing comfortable shoes, as there will be quite a lot of walking. Local taxis also operate in the area.
