Nestled in Kingussie within the Cairngorms National Park, this charming home is perfect for large group getaways in the Scottish Highlands. Set across three floors, there’s plenty of space to spread out here and enjoy some quiet time with a good book. But for us, what really caught our eye is the location. Entertainment abounds in the local area – visit the Highland Folk Museum for an insight into local history, peruse the art on display at the Iona Gallery, take a whiskey distillery tour at nearby Dalwhinnie, or visit the Highland Wildlife Park, unbridled fun for all the family. However you spend your days, memorable moments are guaranteed.

Home truths

While not all bedrooms and bathrooms are photographed, and there are no photos of the kitchen, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.

Three well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany you during your stay.

There are three steps up to the front door and this home is set over three floors. It may not suit those with reduced mobility.

Each bedroom has complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities.

The ceiling in some areas of the top floor is on the low side. It might not be suitable for taller guests.

We recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. Off-road parking is available for up to ten cars here.

Spanning over four and a half thousand square kilometres and with a population of just eighteen thousand, the UK’s largest national park, Cairngorms, is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor explorers. Without the buzz of endless traffic, wildlife thrives here all year round, and you can spot capercaillies, red squirrels and even wild deer – if you visit in late autumn, you may hear the thundering clash of locked...
