Nestled in the hills above Lucca, at the foot of Mount Pisano, this 19th-century villa is built for gatherings on a grand scale. Twelve frescoed bedrooms, a banquet hall, a billiard room, and a shaded loggia give even large groups room to breathe – and to spread out properly. Evenings tend to settle around the alfresco dining terrace or inside the grand salon for drinks, while the walled garden pool is hard to leave once you've found it.
