If you're looking for a central London bolthole, this light-filled apartment fits the bill. Located just around the corner from Paddington Station, travelling around the city is a breeze from here, although there are plenty of sightseeing hotspots to explore on foot. Take your pick from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum in South Kensington, or lose the crowds in leafy Hyde Park. Given the home's central spot, it's worth noting you'll hear and feel the distinctive underground rumble at this apartment. But that's all part and parcel of central London living.

Home truths

At full occupancy, the last two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. There also won't be room for you to all sit on the sofa, although the dining area is a nice spot to spill out into.

Each guest will be asked to complete a pre-check-in form prior to arrival and be asked to share a form of ID.

This home has a shared entrance, and you’ll need to climb some stairs to the apartment, as there is no lift access. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.

Given the home's central spot, expect to hear and feel some vibrations from the Underground during the hours of 6am to 1am. There is also a renovation going on underneath the apartment, although this is very close to completion, so check with your host.

There is scaffolding up next to the building on the corner of the road.
