This apartment may not be the biggest, but it's so well-located that you'll hardly notice. Just a five-minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio and ten minutes from the Duomo, a stay here puts you in the heart of medieval Florence. Enjoy lazy mornings with coffee and pastries on your private balcony, and in the evening, cook dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen (though there are so many restaurants on your doorstep, you might find this area of the home underused). This historic building is on one of Florence's best luxury shopping streets, where you can nip into Alexander McQueen or Balenciaga before lunch, and you'll find reminders of the home's history in the bright, open-plan living space.

Home truths

This home is on the second floor, with no lift, so it's not ideal for guests with reduced mobility. There are also a couple of steps to the bedroom.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot on request.

At full capacity, two people will sleep on a sofa bed in the living space.

Although the balcony is technically private, it shares a see-through partition with the adjacent apartment's balcony. Other homes also overlook it, so if you prefer more privacy, this might not be the home for you.

The keys to this home must be picked up from and returned to a shop, a 10-15 minute walk away.

Parking in Florence can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to public transport. If you do arrive by car, be advised that there is no on-street parking, but there are parking garages nearby.

Host

This home is managed by Gaetano

This home is managed by a business on behalf of its owner. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Gaetano and his team have a handful of places in Italy that they’re responsible for, and we’re big fans. It’s worth noting that it might not be Gaetano himself who checks you in, but the rest of the team are all really nice as well.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
